Timothy Dionela, known professionally as Dionela, is a Filipino R&B singer-songwriter and musician born. He began singing at the age of three. At sixteen, he became the soloist for his school's choir. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dionela established his own studio and began producing his own music.
Dionela's music is deeply rooted in R&B, drawing inspiration from artists like Ginuwine, Ne-Yo, Destiny's Child, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, and H.E.R. He aims to revive the classic R&B sound of the '80s and '90s. He gained prominence with his 2022 singles "153" and "Musika," the latter amassing over 26.6 million plays within a year of its release.
In 2024, his collaboration with Jay R on the single "Sining" reached number one on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 and garnered over 56 million streams on Spotify. His subsequent single, "Marilag," also achieved significant success, becoming the first track to top the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry's Official Philippines Chart in January 2025. Dionela's growing popularity is evident, with nearly two million monthly listeners on Spotify. His music reflects his dedication to creating soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics, solidifying his position as a rising star in the Filipino music industry.
